We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to work within the Quality Assurance team for our client who are renowned for providing high quality and innovative engineered products.

Providing fast response support for production in the management of non-conformance, both product and process. You will work well with production process stakeholders to identify improvement and personal development opportunities to mitigate risks.

You will be able to clearly communicate non-conformance through the generation of non-conformance reports to suppliers when required. Manage multiple long-term corrective action activities following non-conformity and measure the effectiveness of corrective actions with suppliers to restore confidence using the QMS non-conformance management processes.

You will have an understanding of the ISO9001_2015 Quality Standard requirements and be able to assist others in understanding the effectiveness and importance of utilising the process approach management strategy.

Key Tasks

Performing effective containment activities following documented processes
Manage quarantined items, defining disposition and taking appropriate action
Performing Production process audits to identify process conformity and training requirements
Reporting non-conformities to external suppliers
Goods in and pre-dispatch inspection
Dimensional and visual verification of product
Perform scheduled internal calibration processes for torque wrenches and hand measurement tools
Support manufacturing in root cause analysis and prevention of defect recurrence
Data collection on product conformity for management reporting

The Candidate

Mechanical engineering and manufacturing experience
Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions
Knowledge of measurement techniques and equipment
