Job Title: Engineering Site Manager (Fixed Term Contract 18 months)

Salary: GBP45,000 per annum and Veolia Benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week. 8am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Location: Grimsby, DN31 2SR

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for all day to day operational management and service delivery, safety & environmental performance of the plant, continuous improvement & plant efficiency.

Responsible for maintaining compliance within the standard operating procedures and specified standards as determined by the contract KPIs and company values.

Management of HSE and Quality Systems and policies.
Responsible for safety & environmental performance of the plant, continuous improvement & plant efficiency.
Ensuring site is compliant & audit ready with regards to standard operating procedures and specified standards as determined by the contract KPIs.
Responsible for monthly reporting of site utilities and KPI's
Drive operational and Engineering performance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP), Utilities and Thermox plants:
Responsible for ;
Work Planning and Delivery
Compliance (HSE / GMP)
Performance Management
Continuous Improvement programs (IQP/LEAN/RCA)
Safety Inspections / Audits
Training and Competence of personnel
Participate in recruitment and succession planning
Act as the main point of contact for 3rd party contract companies carrying out work within Veolia's area of responsibility.

What are we looking for?

Ideally qualified to degree level (preferred mechanical with strong electrical knowledge).
Have a background of running industrial and utility plants, have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Possess knowledge of current H&S issues and safe working systems such as PTW.
Be Customer focused and a leader/member of the team, promoting an Excellent Safety Culture
Have Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with colleagues, suppliers and contractors,
excellent organisation, planning and time management skills and able to cope with numerous issues simultaneously and capable of prioritising tasks.
Well-developed IT skills
Working with PLC and SCADA/DCS software
Working with SAP
Experience of working with a variety of instrumentation e.g. Pressure, flow, temperature and quality instruments
Understanding of modern condition based maintenance standards and techniques.
Experience of budgetary control and responsibility for P&L.
