Our client is the market leader in the outdoor furniture industry and are looking for someone with enthusiasm and dynamic for this full-time permanent role.
Working closely with the MD, we are looking to recruit a Facilities and Health and Safety Coordinator for the large manufacturing and warehouse site in Reading, Berkshire.
We are looking for a person that will be responsible for the following -
Health & Safety -
Liaising with external H&S consultant - general audits and technical RAMS when necessary
SSIP Accreditation Submissions - Altius/CHAS/SafeContractor
Additional Customer Specific H&S Submissions as required - M&B, Fullers, Brains etc.
Ethical and Sustainability Submissions - Whitbread, M&B etc.
HSE/EHO requirements.
Equipment Compliance -
LEV Inspections - workshop extract system
Pressure Systems Management Inspections - workshop air system and compressors
LOLER testing - FLT thorough examinations, Genies, Tail Lifts.
Staff Training -
Identify new or additional requirements as business evolves
Organising training courses - liaising with Logistics, Installation and service providers
Maintain Employee Training Matrix
Insurance -
Annual Insurance Risk Assessor visits
Assist with accident investigations
Maintenance -
Responsible for General building facilities, arranging contractors for - electrical, plumbing, roofing, workshop equipment maintenance
Maintain appropriate maintenance contracts - liaise with contractors
Obtain RAMS and insurance details when contractors attend site
DVSA -
Currently under review - external consultant TM
Assistance and record maintenance for above - liaising with other departments and northern branch
Exhibitions -
Organise logistics, stand build & design input
Liaise with event organisers - maintain exhibitor s manual
Complete all compulsory forms and order services as required
Return all goods to stock/display upon return
Security -
Liaise with external contractor when required
Obtain quotes for upgrades and maintenance when required
Purchasing -
One off items required - source and purchase accordingly, after liaising with Accounts if necessary
General -
Support for retail department - admin/training/customer visits
Support for commercial department - admin/site surveys/repairs
Support for logistics department - deliveries & collections
Annual Stocktake -
Counting/Admin
Hours of work - Monday to Friday - 7.30am - 4.30pm
Salary - GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 + 22 days holiday + Bank holiday + bonus + pension.
