Main Responsibilities:
Lairage
Ensuring Animal Welfare and legislation is always adhered to
Passport verification checks
Animal suitability checks
Unloading Cattle
Cleaning out pens and ensuring good housekeeping
Outcome verifications
Bedding up and feeding cattle.
Reporting any issues to the Slaughter Hall Manager
Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
Electrically stunning cattle using a Jarvis Stun box
Using Captive bolt to slaughter cattle
Hidestore
Weighing Hides to the grade parameters
Moving hides into stacks for salting
Folding the hides into the graded pallets
Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
Good Housekeeping
Communicate with your team
Responsible for reporting back to the Slaughter Hall Manager with any issues.
Stock Taking and stock rotation regarding first in first out.
Picking hides for loading
Hours Of Work:
Monday - Friday
06:00am Start
Full Time Contract
Pay
Starting from GBP11.00 per hour, increasing on a competency based assessment
