Job Description

Godolphin is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Estate Maintenance Groundsperson to join the maintenance team, working across both sites at Moulton Paddocks and Godolphin Stables in Newmarket. Standard working hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, including a weekend rota - working one in six weekends for a few hours in the mornings.

Key Tasks

  • All paddock maintenance to include, grass cutting, harrowing, fertiliser spreading and over seeding of paddocks and amenity areas
  • Hedge cutting, to include use of a tractor mounted flail
  • Strimming
  • Fencing and fence repair work
  • Teleporter loader operation
  • Knap sack spraying
  • Mini digger operation
  • Chainsaw operation

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of modern agricultural machinery
  • Telehandler, chainsaw and mini digger certification is desirable
  • PA1 and PA6 are desirable
  • Sound understanding of health and safety at work
  • Driving licence is essential
