JOB PURPOSE
Our successful client, based in Great Yarmouth, innovates, designs, manufactures and installs their own range of CNC machinery, they are the market leader in supplying fully automatic sawing and machining centres for the preparation of window and door frames with around 300 supported machines in 200 customers, mostly in the UK and Ireland. They are looking for an experienced mechanical fitter to join their growing team working on new and refurbishment machine builds.
The successful candidate will have a proven record assembling complex mechanical, pneumatic and electronic assemblies within the manufacturing/engineering industry.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mechanical assembly of parts to engineering drawings with minimal supervision
Assembly of pneumatic systems
Fault finding of mechanical and pneumatic systems
Electrical/Electronics experience would be an advantage
Ensure assembly build times are met and improved on
Prioritise workload to meet delivery objectives
Identify and correct any non conformance's with the machine
Communicate with management and design teams on issues and ideas for improvement
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace adhering to company standards
Comply with all health and safety regulations and policies as set by the company
PERSON PROFILE
o Well organised, self-motivated and have an attention to detail. Focused on the importance of regular and fixed procedures.
o Able to communicate with all levels of the business to solve faults as a team
o Team player - working together to achieve the common goal
o Innovative thinking in how things are processed, designed and made
Personal Situation
o Able to expand the working day to ensure machine deliveries are met
o Live within commutable distance to Great Yarmouth
Specific Job Skills
o Experience in manufacturing/engineering environment
o Mechanical and Pneumatic experience essential
o Electrical/Electronics experience an advantage
Education
o Ideally trained through time served apprenticeship or at least 3 years in a similar role o NVQ, C&G, HNC desirable o IT literate
