Maintenance Engineer

Multi-skilled Engineer / Maintenance Engineer Your new companyWorking for a company who is at the forefront of modern farming and food distribution, you will be joining a fast-paced, stimulating and rewarding environment working with some of the biggest food retail brands in the UK and Europe. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Multi-skilled/ Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Your new roleAs a Multi-skilled/ Maintenance Engineer you will be working to provide an efficient and effective maintenance service to machinery on-site across the factory. You will be required to carry out breakdown repairs and PPM in line with business/ production requirements as directed by the Engineering Leader or Manager ensuring tasks are prioritised in order and production downtime is kept to a minimum. Hours will be on a Monday to Friday basis with 1in4 weekends once trained working on a 2 weekly shift pattern: Week 1: 6am to 2:30pm Week 2: 9am to 6pm

What you'll need to succeedYou will hold a level 2 mechanical or electrical engineering qualification and have the ability to work from drawings/plans with good fault-finding and a good mix of electrical and mechanical experience. Previous experience within food production or manufacturing is advantageous in addition to proven knowledge within the fresh produce industry including knowledge of multi-head weighers, checkweighers and conveyer systems.
