An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, award-winning company as a Quantity Surveyor. The main purpose of this role is to manage all business costs related to building and civil engineering projects, minimising costs whilst driving excellent results.
Responsibilities:
Procuring and managing the supply chain
Managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects
Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
Preparation of Cost reconciliation statement; Collation of Cost and Value Information
Measure and interpret specifications & drawings
Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates.
Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works
Plan commercial activities to meet requirements of section programmes
Supporting other members of the commercial team in delivering the varied commercial duties
Actively seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for clients
Requirements and Skills:
HND/BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent
Previous experience in the building and civil engineering industry
Analytical Thinking and Decision-Making skills
Great communication skills
