Job Outline:

Do you have an understanding of, or have you worked with Lasers, Optical systems, Fibre Optics or Ultra High Vacuum systems?

Owing to current growth a leading developer of specialist Scientific Equipment is now looking for a Graduate / Development Engineer to be involved in the Assembly and Development of a range of instrumentation.

Based at my client s development facility in Oxfordshire, this hands on role will provide you with broad experience working with technologies such as Optics, Lasers, Ultra high vacuum, optoelectronics, instrumentation and more.

Working in close collaboration with all aspects of engineering, assembly and test, you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks including mechanical assembly (high precision), Electronic assembly and building complex systems.

Along with the assembly of complex mechanical/electronic systems, you will also be involved in the commissioning of systems, providing input to designs, and undertaking research projects.

In addition to this you will be undertaking optical alignment tasks, supporting product test, collecting experimental data and producing well-documented notes of builds, test procedures and status reports when required.

Experience and Qualifications:

Ideally you will be a Graduate from a Physics or similar discipline, with strong practical skills in assembly and test of precision instrumentation.

Candidates with a strong background in optical assembly, mechanical assembly, optical alignment, fibre attach, Optical test & measurement etc, are also welcome to apply.
