My client, a long-established Freight Forwarding and Export packaging company based in Burnley, are looking to recruit a Case Maker/Export Packer to join their dedicated & enthusiastic team.
If you enjoy putting your woodworking/joinery skills to the test, working with your hands, solving problems and taking pride in your work, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
This is a woodworking role and will involve the use of industrial cutting equipment and nail guns. You will also ensure that your work area is kept tidy and free from hazards.
Job Role
Understand the design and assemble the case according to the specification - full training giving
Set up and operate machines, including hand tools and basic metal saws
Install case hardware, such as latches, hinges, handles, catches and castors
Working on your own as well as part of a team
Maintaining quality standards
Requirements
Competent with hand drills and tools
Able to understand the design and check measurements
Previously worked in a similar environment / workshop
Consistent with quality
Thorough, well organised, tidy, efficient and timely
Good attendance record
Friendly and trustworthy
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm, with great benefits including a monthly attendance allowance of GBP60, 20 days holiday PA, above national minimum pension contribution, excellent working conditions and a happy friendly workplace.
