Your Job
As a software engineer at Indeed, you will work as part of the Enterprise Advertiser team, working across and creating a range of applications designed for advertisers to get the best performance from their ads on Indeed. This includes making sure that formerly-separate ads products are easily available within Indeed Ads, and ensuring that Indeed Ads are available anywhere they are needed within the Indeed ecosystem.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and testable solutions using bleeding-edge technology with current best practices. A part of the role will require cross-team collaboration and mentorship of the more junior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
Owning entire projects, from working with a Product Manager and a UX Designer on the problem being solved, possible solutions, the UI design, implementation and analytics. You should possess a mix of technical strength, business strength and good product ideas.
Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to reach common business goals
Build scalable solutions that will interact with other systems within the organisation
Extract, cluster or classify high-quality features from unstructured data
Develop front-end applications using industry best practices and adhering to Indeeds UI standards, using modern frameworks (such as React)
Design and implement efficient algorithms for ranking search results, increasing recall, filtering spam and personalization
Write effective backend systems which are maintainable and business-focused.
Continually improve our technical stack and processes
Help drive the technical direction of the product and mentor other team members

Understands the end-user and can build simple, elegant solutions
Thinks about why something needs to be built, not just what needs to be built
Loves to learn and develop new skills continuously
Is willing to work in a tech stack deemed most suitable for the project
Is excited to work on testing a variety of product ideas, either currently underway or conceived in the future
Requirements:
Understanding of system design patterns and best practices
Experience building large scale distributed systems
+5 years experience of working with Object-Oriented programming languages.
Experience developing front-end systems, with knowledge of React an advantage
Working knowledge of Agile practices
Has an understanding of testing best practices
