Quantity Surveyor

I have opportunities for Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors to work with a major construction business with offices in Derby and Birmingham.

These Quantity Surveyor roles are ideal for people with a strong commercial acumen looking to make the next step in their careers. If you have worked within construction as a Commercial Admin, Trainee QS or AQS then this might be for you.

The business will also be willing to support working towards a professional membership from the RICS, ICES or CIOB

As a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be;

Planning commercial administrative activities
Preparing financial cost of delay and disruption
Effectively managing all contract commercial requirements
Advising on contractual matters
Analysing and developing rates and prices
Agreeing variations and/or compensation events
Collating cost and value information
Preparing internal reports on commercial progress
Preparing capital/lease expenditure plans, business cases and pricing strategies
Preparing and negotiating customer final accounts
Effectively resolving claims and disputes as required
Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates
Monitoring spend and performance of suppliers
Preparing contract flow down from main contacts
