Joining a leading national distribution business, you will be responsible for all operational activities across a busy site.
Using your previous experience of managing warehouse and transport activities, you will ensure best in class service is delivered whilst developing and growing a highly engaged team.
The Role:
As Operations Manager you will
Manage the daily operation and performance of the depot in order to provide the expected service to customers (internal and external), whilst achieving a wide range of kpis covering costs, productivity, engagement and service standards.
Leading and engaging Transport and Warehouse teams, inspiring them to reach their full potential while integrating their operations with the sales teams to ensure optimum customer satisfaction, retention and repeat business
Uphold good management practices and make sure these are developed in all those around you
Take ownership of all support functions, including health and safety, audit and legal requirements
Your success will be measured in commercial terms through profitability, cost control, service delivery and retention, but also in the people and team performance levels and the way they all contribute to the overall operation and success of the depot You
To be considered for the role of Operations Manager, you should be able to demonstrate previous experience management in a similar, fast-paced environment, where you have managed and developed teams successfully. You will be an expert influencer and motivator; skilled at harnessing and developing the collective skills in those around you.
The Package
The salary on offer for the Operations Manager role is up to GBP60,000 plus car allowance and up to 20% bonus
This role is based in Gateshead.
