Production Planner
Working for a global FMCG organisation, you will make full use of their supply network to provide production plans and meet sales forecasts. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Production or Supply Network Planner to join an international business, with plenty of room for career development.
This is a hybrid role, with at least 2 days per week being on-site in Slough and the assignment length will be initially 9 months.
The role and responsibilities:
- Long term (36 months) and medium term (3-24 months) and short term (1 week-3 months) Production Planning are all relevant to this position. Communicating these plans and highlighting any areas for concern is key.
- Utilising pipelines and providing reports in meetings and to stakeholders. Communicating Production Plans to Factory Schedulers.
- For short-term planning, responding to the recommendations of the Planning Tool and adopting production plans taking into account any constraints or changes (e.g. R&P materials availability, Manufacturing and Sales performance)
- Delivering and continuously challenging Pipeline Minimum Stock for all markets.
- Develop recommendations for optimisation of inventory levels and flexibility of supply chain.
- Informing all markets of stock discrepancies and supply shortages which could cause delays. Escalate if necessary.
What we are looking for:
- Significant supply chain experience, preferably as a Production Planner or Supply Network Planner. SAP prior knowledge preferred.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Impeccable communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
