What will you be doing?
As a Windows Server Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational management and evolution of IT solutions infrastructure; a predominately Windows server environment in AWS.
The Windows Server Engineer will manage all infrastructure elements and ensure maximum availability and value.
Provide support and resolution to our Customer's issues as raised through our incident management system (ServiceNow).
Provide Windows Server Support (AD, DCHP, DNS etc. etc.) for both physical and virtual servers.
Provide recommendations and improvements on the current infrastructure ensuring that the correct balance between stability and innovation is maintained.
Provide innovative solutions to complex problems and simplify and automate where appropriate.
Undertake DR testing of key systems and infrastructure.
What are we looking for?
The Windows Server Engineer will have experience of working with in-house and third party technical design teams to ensure appropriate solutions are designed and implemented.
Backup and recovery experience of disaster recovery (Cloud).
Experience with creating architectures that are secure, fault tolerant and highly available.
Scripting / Automation programming knowledge/skills (PowerShell/Python/JSON/YAML or similar).
Windows Server experience ofWintel platform administration (Windows server 2008 upwards).
Skilled in DNS, DHCP, File Shares / NTFS / DFS, ADFS, Powershell, Patching, Backups, Troubleshooting,Citrix and VMWare.
