Serve Talent have partnered with a successful Engineering business to recruit a Workshop Manager for their manufacturing facility based in Mildenhall, Suffolk.
The company themselves are very well established and specialise in the manufacture of low voltage distribution boards/switchboards, enclosed starters, control panels, motor control centres as well as purpose-built bespoke control panels.
What you'll be doing
Managing the workshop team, you'll ensure the company continue to deliver the high quality products they're known for. You'll need to be a keen people person with a level of motivation to drive success in the workshop.
You'll be planning workloads, allocating various jobs/tasks to other members of your team but making sure that the task delegated fits the skillset of the individual. Upholding the companies H&S is part of this role, risk assessments, COSHH assessments will need to be maintained too.
Your skills/experience:
A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline is essential or the equivalent experience working within an Electrically biased manufacturing environment. You'll also be IOSH trained please!
You'll also have an analytical and logical mind to help with solving problems, good communication skills for liaising with other staff and, on occasion, customers. Good practical skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail, organisational skills to enable you to plan and coordinate resources.
