Limelight is Trafford Housing Trust’s unique £20 million thriving community hub.
Reporting to, and deputising for the Community Manager, the Deputy Manager - Limelight Community, will ensure that the building is running in a safe, effective and community focused manner. You'll engage with members of the public and local organisations to build on the community hub already established and will be an effective member of the Limelight management team, contributing to meetings and working closely with stakeholders. You’ll support on events and project delivery, and engage with the community, providing volunteer support and practical support to ensure success. You’ll liaise with the Building Safety and H&S Teams to ensure Limelight Community Hub is fully compliant with H&S regulations, internal policy and building safety and ensure positive and collaborative working relationships are established throughout the building. You will implement the community engagement activity around volunteer recruitment, coordination, and evaluation, and maintain and build new community relationships, sharing the ‘Limelight Volunteer Team’ plan to ensure Limelight is maximising the creation of social value.
The Person:
We’d really like you to have experience of partnership working and developing external relationships. With excellent communication skills, confidence, and the ability to work on own initiative, you’ll have good project management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to prioritise work and demands. With a strong customer focus, you’ll be able to work collaboratively, as part of a wider team, and understand the complexities of community run services.
