Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit an Accounts Supervisor
The company: have been established in the area for over 40 years and generate revenues in access of GBP60m. With diverse interests in a number of sectors, from distribution, Import, Logistics and manufacturing, they are the 'go to' company in their sector for many corporate customer clients.
The role: Reports to the finance director, and will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 2 ledger clerks ensuring that they hit their targets and goals whilst supporting the finance team and ensuring the smooth running of key financial processes.
Assisting with daily operations of the accounting department including; ledger controls, cash books, supplier statements, reconciliations, postings to nominal ledger reconciliations, VAT returns and supporting the finance team through month and year-end processes. Recommend and improve current controls, whilst assisting the Finance Director with ad hoc analysis and projects.
The candidate:- Well presented confident and outgoing, keen to get involved and take early responsibility. Willing and keen to assist where necessary. A proactive, energetic individual, organised and comfortable working in a small finance team. You will have clear and confident communication skills, strong attention to detail, with good Excel skills. (look up functions, pivot tables ideally). Experience in using an ERP system useful.
This role also benefits from a bonus scheme and study package if studying.
