Incinerator & Treatment Plant Operative / Depot Operator with experience working within a plant, warehouse, refuse, recycling centre or similar environment is required for a Global Company based in Larkfield, Aylesford, Kent.

SALARY: GBP23,500 per annum + Excellent Benefits

LOCATION: Larkfield, Aylesford, Kent

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 4 on 4 off (Day and Night Shifts)

FLT / Forklift Licence Training Provided if Required

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Incinerator & Treatment Plant Operative / Depot Operator with experience working within a plant, warehouse, refuse, recycling centre or similar environment.

This is a hands-on role based at the Alternative Treatment Facility in Larkfield. As an Incinerator & Treatment Plant Operative / Depot Operator you will assist in the day-to-day operation of the plant, with responsibility for the receipt, storage, treatment and disposal of clinical waste in line with company and legislative requirements.

Working as an Incinerator & Treatment Plant Operative / Depot Operator you will operate under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and will always maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety throughout.

DUTIES

Your duties as an Incinerator & Treatment Plant Operative / Depot Operator will include:

• Unloading of vehicles and trailers

• Effective manoeuvring of waste on the plant and weighing of containers

• Ensure that the waste containers are emptied, cleaned thoroughly and readily available in a suitable 'empty storage area ready for collection

• Co-ordinate the paperwork and reception of all deliveries to the plant, including that of suppliers and contractors

• Oversee the safe handling into containers by the respective deliverer, in the event loose waste is delivered to the site

• Operate Forklift truck if required

• Participate in plant shutdowns as necessary

• Maintain company operational records and data, specific to the job function

• Work under the direction of and assist the Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager in his or her duties in the event of a breakdown or controlled stoppage

• Observe and comply with all safety notice and signs and to ensure that all work is always carried out in a safe and proper manner

• Additional duties as necessary to ensure safe compliance and continuation of operations of the plant
