This successful and fast-growing company is looking to hire an intelligent and experienced Trading Account Manager based in their south London branch. This company has been described as the life and soul of this up-and-coming trading industry where the feel of friendship and camaraderie is next to none.

Salary is 45k-80k (depending on experience) basic plus commission 10% of margin (negotiated commission threshold would apply each month) This is a permanent, full-time position based in Croydon but hybrid working could be available.

Role

To introduce and trade new product categories that can be supported by the current infrastructure and financial buying power of our company.

Delivering success through long term growth of a new categories and helping the company to diversify.

Accountabilities

Proactively and self-leading the creation and development of new business.
Using existing product and industry knowledge as well as supplier contacts
Using the capabilities of the company to facilitate the business, working across teams to prepare people and processes and introduce changes where needed
Using customer contacts and our existing customer base to build new sustainable repeat business,

Generating sustainable and long term profit by ensuring personal sales and other targets are met and paving the route for new business externally and internally
Creating sustainable supply chains and sourcing from official sources wherever possible when this makes sense
Build relationships externally using every available resource to develop business, this includes travel, inviting customers into the office and hospitality
Active management of sales, margins, debtors, old orders, returns, claims providing assistance for others in the team
Account lead and provide superior levels of customer service, proactively resolving customer complaints wherever possible and keeping sales channels open, support the team in the same respect
Keep up to date knowledge of processes, regulations, stock values, FX, changing prices, slow line, and availability levels as well as logistics developments
Use and staying informed of our sales and purchasing procedures and processes at all times, ensuring that the team do the same
Working with other departments within the company and pro-actively preparing and informing them of incoming work or any changes to ensure smooth sales and purchasing operations.
Adhering to and working within all health and safety procedures and best practice
Developing new business and extending current business and using all methods and resources available to ensure that this happens - this means travelling, aftersales, research and making opportunities

Core responsibilities

Develop, discuss, determine and implement strategies and take actions to exceed revenue expectations
Seek and employ methods to reduce costs for the business collaborating and leading others to do the same

Provide commercial opportunities through leading market research, spreading knowledge
Maintain excellent relationships inside and outside of our company particularly with key internal contacts as well as all external customers.
Represent our comppany in front of customers and at external events to develop and promote our brand, awareness, customer base and reputation
Build relationships with all customers and on-board must win customers using and discussing any prior strategy to do so
Lead development and implementation of sales strategies and input into setting of sales and commercial targets
Leverage relationships with key individuals
Gather market intelligence and efficiently act or communicate on it

Support responsibilities

Provide cover within the sales team as necessary
Lead projects and collaborate on projects outside of the commercial team or commercial focus

Other

Undertake your own development activities and support others to do so
Any other duties that fall within he scope and level of this post
