A Planning Manager is required to join a successful, fast growing company based in the North West. It is an exciting time to join this business due to them investing in new roles and looking to build up their Supply Chain function. As their Planning Manager you will report into the Head of Supply Chain and you will have the Master Scheduler reporting into you.
You will play a pivotal role in the design & implementation of their improved Sales & Operational planning process and their ambitious plans to create value for the business whilst providing great service for their customers. Utilising your strong commercial and business acumen you will partner with the senior leaders and the broader sales and operational teams to shape, develop and deliver effective people, systems, process and solutions that align to their strategy, purpose and values.
You ll lead the planning team, developing them to understand the important part they play in delivering business goals.
The role includes:
- Leading S&OP process; planning team & associated systems, & its continual improvement
- Owning the S&OP bible and ensures it is correctly adjusted / maintained
- Chairing rejuvenated monthly supply review as part of tiered accountability structure
- Ensuring the appropriate levels of challenge; collaboration and alignment exist between the Sales & Operations functions, delivering the overall business requirements
- Liaising with sales & marketing to understand future demand changes
- Chairing monthly demand focused review
- Liaising with various stakeholders to develop plans with short, medium and long term forward views, to initiate projects to improve efficiency with regards to longer term planning
