A specialist manufacture of their own products using injection moulding techniques and part of a large group of companies are currently looking for skilled and experienced Injection Moulding Technicians due to continued growth in customer base, order book and re-investment into the organisation.
Job Profile
As a successful Injection Moulding Technician, you will experience working in a state of the art, well structured, warm, and friendly environment alongside a strong team of other skilled Injection Moulding Technicians / Setters.
Duties:
Carry out tool changes and set machine process using best practice and in accordance with health and safety procedures
Support trials of new tools to achieve optimum performance
Train operators to perform start up, shut down and problem analysis procedures
Provide hands on process support
Ensure efficient tool changes
Minimise machine downtime
Optimise setting conditions
Minimise scrap and other material wastage
Ensure all production recording documents are completed as necessary
Obtain first and last off approval samples
Maintain quality throughout production run
Liaise with Manager and operators to identify and categories production deficiencies
Responsible for care and low-level maintenance of both machines and tools (to agreed limits)
Liaise with appropriate support staff to arrange advanced levels of maintenance and repairs
Create and control master setting sheets
Control and display of production and quality instructions
Ensure all procedures are followed and maintained
Report any incidents or concerns
Qualifications / Experience:
Previous experience within an Injection Moulding environment
The ability to read technical drawings and use measuring devices
An ability to work in a pressurised environment and meet deadlines
Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
Excellent understanding of health & safety requirements
Hours:
40hrs per week
Double days (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm) OR Night shift (10pm - 6am) Monday to Friday
Annual Basic Salary: GBP29,500
Night Shift Premium = GBP6,944
Double days = GBP4,629
Lots of overtime available paid at x1.5hrs weekdays / Saturdays & x2 Sundays

Pension - contributory up to 4% Pensionable Pay which the company will add up to 8% of Pensionable Pay. Option to pay contributions via Salary Sacrifice
