We supply global multinational drinks companies, major regional food and drink companies, all the way through to start-ups and small independent craft brewers around the world. Malt is the primary raw material for beer and malt whisky. Malted ingredients are used in a variety of applications within food, drinks and baking industries. In recent years, the business has invested heavily in both the grain intake and maltings facility (excess of GBP13million).and we believe our grain intake to be one of the best in the industry. We are looking for a keen candidate to help steer the team, whilst upholding our quality standards.
The role
In this role you will work within the logistics/ Warehouse teams at our Stowmarket site providing administrative support to the team. With the key duties and responsibilities being:
Preparing documentation for collecting vehicles ensuring that Hazard and Critical Control Point controls are strictly adhered to, and that relevant inspection paperwork is fully completed.
Any damaged / non-conforming product to be reported to line management.
To process computerised stock movements in an accurate and timely manner
To administrate & process customer orders in accordance with standing instructions and department specific requirements including the accurate completion of despatch paperwork.
All damaged / non-conforming product to be handled in accordance with established procedures and finished goods that are out of specification or damaged to be quarantined.
Ensure completion of process documentation / stock movement and forklift pre shift check records by team members.
To ensure that Hazard and Critical Control Point controls are strictly adhered to, and that relevant inspection paperwork is fully completed in respect of each collecting vehicle.
To work flexibly and respond to the changing demands of the work, adapting to new work routines and practices accordingly.
To follow all Good Manufacturing Process, hygiene, environmental H&S and personnel policies and rules, setting a positive example for team members.
Housekeeping and cleanliness of storage areas to be maintained to a very high standard with the emphasis on an effective use of the storage space available.
Accurate completion/input of process documentation and stock movements.
Ensure that integrity of stock accuracy is maintained and that all discrepancies are fully investigated.
To maintain and update KPI & Safety boards and WMS info.
To manage and respond to issues via email (Warehouse Inbox) and telephone.
Undertake any required training required to fulfil the job role
To maintain training records to evidence all training delivered.
To update, manage reports using: SAP and various in-house systems
Maintain excellent communication with all departments making sure to be professional, polite, and positive always.
Adhere to Health, Safety and Environment control and improvement policies and actions.
Attend regular briefings on KPI s, BEST (H & S) Tours etc.
Any other duties to be determined by the Warehouse Logistics Supervisor/Deputy Warehouse Operations Manager and the Warehouse Operations Manager and to benefit the business.
The candidate will .
Have the ability to positively communicate effectively with all levels in the organisation and with external bodies.
A minimum of two years working in an office environment.
Be self-confidant and use initiative to work with minimal supervision.
Have good computer skills and knowledge of MS office systems
Be innovative and focussed on achieving improvements within the business.
Be well organised, flexible, and able to contribute to a team environment.
Be able to develop good team spirit and enthuse the team to higher standards.

Have ability to follow verbal and written instructions
