Job Title: Prototype Coordinator
Salary: GBP35,000 to GBP40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Warwick
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16:45pm, Friday 08:00am to 12:30pm

We are a next generation electric vehicle company backed by over 100 years of experience, producing zero emissions Buses, Vans, and Pods. A combined global reach and presence in 40 countries with 280 electric vehicles on the road that have clocked over 26 million miles and counting.
Opportunity:
Define, plan, build and maintain vehicle, system and component level prototype properties to support the engineering product development process.
Orchestrate the activities to plan, procure, build and maintain prototype development properties to support the pre-production development phases.
Issue, control and report the prototype build matrix and plan.
Assure the prototype BoM is complete and alignment checked to CAD, in collaboration with prototype design.
Own the generation and tracking of the prototype ETRS (engineering timing release
schedule) for prototype and bridging parts.
Liaise with key commodity and prototype suppliers to order and track part delivery.
Collaborate with commodity engineers, prototype design and suppliers to coordinate prototype build tooling requirements.
Record and monitor the spend and report status alignment to target budget.
Ensure that special build parts are identified and controlled.
Control part pedigree and the compatibility and interchange of unique parts.
Coordinate and support build reviews, ensuring effective documentation and communication of issues and requirements.
Track the build concerns register and monitor resolution progress to ensure quality and schedule build delivery.
Support virtual series builds, DVP planning and analysis of design and development issues.
Create concise status reports to inform the programme function of build progress.
Experience/Qualifications:
Previous experience in prototype build role or in product development function
Proficient with core office suite software tools (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Confident and positive in engaging with people across a variety of functions and organisations
Strong communication skills and ability to recognise key information and deliver effective messaging
Generate concise information reports using variety of mediums
Able to understand technical and commercial information
