Location: Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (Nights)
Salary: Circa GBP50,000

The Company:
My client is an nationally recognised manufacturer currently working with some very impressive big names within the food production industry. Due to their growth and very large expanding manufacturing site, they are seeking a senior multi-skilled maintenance engineer with experience within a FMCG manufacturing industry or similar work environment to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
They are in the process of creating a site where engineers want to come to work, where there is no blame culture and everyone can enjoy themselves in a fast-paced but low-pressure work environment where they have enough facilities and staff to ensure you enjoy coming to work!
To do this they have set up a brand new site with the latest equipment, yearly pay rises and appraisals to discuss where you would like to go in the company to ensure you are able to grow and progress within the company long term, free parking, private medical, over-time and time and half and a proven track record of internal career progression!
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate would be a competent multi-skilled engineer comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated automated environment. If you enjoy an energetic and challenging workplace, but also want to be surrounded by a very supportive team this could be the role for you
You must be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude towards work and want to grow within the company long-term and must have previous experience finding mechanical and electrical faults in a FMCG environment.
The role will include supporting the team in dismantling and replacing machine parts. Upholding health and safety regulations in a fast moving automated environment and conducting all mandatory logs. You must be comfortable handling both electrical and mechanical repairs on the conveyor systems and ensure the efficiency of the production line.
Requirements:
- Several years experience working within a FMCG environment, preferable food production.
- Hold a level 3 NVQ or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Must be a team player and willing to fit in with the family style ethos of the maintenance engineer team.
- Be familiar with electrical troubleshooting, premodmently with PLCs.
- Competent fault finding and repairing on a range of equipment.
- Be ambitious, enthusiastic and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic approachable and a can do attitude to work.
