My client a UK leading Consultancy are seeking an Interim Events Manager to join their team for a 12 month FTC to cover a period of maternity leave. This role requires a minimum of one day in their Buckinghamshire offices and the rest from home.

If you are passionate about delivering memorable and engaging audience experiences and you would like full autonomy to own and deliver a selection of events then this Interim Events Manager could be the role for you.

As an integral part of the Marketing team you will project lead a variety of flagship events within the businesses annual portfolio, both digital and face to face, and you'll work collaboratively with other Marketing functions to bring these to life from concept to completion. This role requires a candidate to have extensive experience with the end-to-end delivery of complex events. You'll have a strong understanding of digital event platforms to bring to life their corporate portfolio of conferences, webinars, roundtables, industry events, virtual experiences, and hospitality events and dinners.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee annual events programme to enable resource planning within the team.
  • To manage Taskstream projects for all events.
  • To manage the daily workload of our Event Executives.
  • Lead weekly operation meetings with the events team
  • Keep a record of spend vs budget for each event and report any issues to the Events Manger.
  • Attend and manage events on-site where necessary.
  • Work with collaboratively with the wider marketing team to ensure events are aligned with the wider marketing activities and plans.
  • To communicate event successes widely across the business.
  • Manage the successful organisation of all seminars, conferences, webinars, hospitality, external conferences, and external exhibitions against business and marketing objectives, on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience delivering events end to end (both in person and virtual)
  • Experience in using virtual event platforms is a necessity
  • Significant experience in a corporate events/ marketing /agency events delivery role
  • Strong events planning experience; a proven track record in delivering key outcomes of a busy events programme
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A self-starter, highly organised, and able to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
  • Ability to engage confidently with a variety of people across the Marketing Team and wider organisation to deliver outcomes.

This role would suit an Events Account Manager, Events Project Manager, Events Account Executive, Events Officer, Events Executive, Events Manager, Events Specialist, Marketing Executive, Marketing Officer, Assistant Events Manager, Event Planner, Event Coordinator, Event Operations Manager, Event Marketing Coordinator, Events Specialist.

This role is a hybrid role with at least one day in based in their Amersham offices which are commutable from locations such as Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Slough, Maidenhead, Marlow, Amersham, High Wycombe, Luton, Aylesbury, Oxford and Reading and the rest will be from home.
