Located in Chester, we are currently looking to appoint a General Manager for a fine dining restaurant. We are seeking an ambassador who is hugely passionate about providing exceptional customer experience & quality.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience co-ordinating and running outstanding restaurants, a superior eye for detail and relish a challenge. Additionally, you will demonstrate expertise in leading and motivating to cultivate an inspired team.

Principle Accountabilities

160-cover a la carte restaurant + x4 private hire spaces ranging from 30-150 capacity

Day to day operations

Budget responsibility - reporting to Head of Group

Income & business development drivers and full expenditure/margin control

Maintain outstanding food and service quality and consistency in line with company standards.

Uphold standards of quality, presentation, and cleaning throughout.

Ensure that the business is proactively managed and staffed accordingly.

Ensure all equipment is used correctly and maintained correctly in compliance with all hygiene and safety regulations and company procedures (HACCP).

Manage and communicate with customers in a prompt and professional manner.

Deal with customer complaints effectively.

Carry out any reasonable task asked of you by the Head of division.

Delegate tasks in the appropriate manor to the other members of the team.

Oversee food/liquor ordering and deliveries.

Business level and performance control against budgets dictated by the financial periods.

To ensure all staff receive regular and prompt briefings/training in compliance with company standards and where applicable by law, i.e. ensure the staff comply with all legislation regarding Health and Safety, Hygiene and Licensing.

Motivate and develop staff teams to establish channels of communication for all company and operational information.

Ensure cascade of information through holding regular briefings for staff.

Ensure that all staff have clear objectives/ direction and are adequately managed.

Maintain staff disciplines and take appropriate action where necessary in accordance with the company policies.

Ensure the security of the premises, stock, and cash.

Monitor maintenance of premises and equipment on a regular basis and report recommended action

Responsibility for treasury management, communicating effectively with the accounts department following company procedures.
