This highly innovative and high growth business are seeking to recruit a Production Supervisor to lead on all aspects of the production, including all aspects of Health & Safety to improve site standards and greater efficiencies. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will supervise and support 15 - 20 Production Operatives to achieve "just in time" production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and invigorate a team of 15 -20 production operatives across the manufacturing plant.
Champion Health and Safety to ensure the full compliance of the teams within high-risk areas of manufacturing.
To provide leadership and management for the effective production and on-time delivery activities of all products produced at the Site.
Oversee the Sachet Checking Team Leader and progress workloads.
Delegation of workloads to appropriate staff to ensure maximum efficiencies from the machines.
Manage the production processes to meet the production schedules.
Ensure adherence to production plans and agreed deadlines through accurate forecasting and regular analysis of data.
Manage and monitor waste throughout the production process.
Monitor and oversee agency staff hours with a high degree of accuracy and resolve any issues.
Foster teamwork to remove obstacles and break down barriers to advance improvements.
Ensuring a competently trained multi skilled team, driving responsibility, and accountability for speed and agility in high quality output.
Communicating and reporting and managing production figures.
To ensure that all production activities adhere to the company quality management system by promoting and incorporating good manufacturing practices. Monitoring and managing quality within the production processes.
To interface with the Operations Manager when required and provide any necessary information requested.
Key Experience & Skills
Previous production management experience within a fast pace production environment ideally within the FMCG sector.
Strong relationship building, leadership skills and influencing others.
Technically astute ideally with a background with production/industrial processing machinery.
Clear and concise communication skills in reporting and delegation.
Reactive to changeable priorities and taking the appropriate action when necessary.
Excellent business acumen with a strong working knowledge of Health & Safety.
Leads by example to motivate and maintain a highly focused team.
You will be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills and be able to work cross functionally with all production staff and management.
For success in the role you must be a team player, with an ability to be flexible as part of a fast-moving focused organization. The ability to take ownership of a situation and act decisively is crucial to meet production deadlines.
This is a 48hr shift pattern (4 days on/4 days off 07.00 - 19.30hrs)
