Our client is currently recruiting for a Payroll and Administration Assistant to join their busy team in Faringdon.
Job Role:
To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the department and manage the monthly payroll processing as advised by the Payroll Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Checking change of employee details, starters and leavers prior to payroll submission and update documentation and our system software as required
Support with the collation of data required for the purpose of reporting.
Ensure that all administrative work is complete within a timely and accurate manner and is compliant with GDPR legislation.
Working under the guidance of the Payroll Manager
Ensure maintenance of all payroll spreadsheets ensuring all payroll and employee details are up to date Providing training and support on payroll related issues to Managers as required.
Provide information including KPI reports for Area Managers and Head Office Senior Leadership Team as required.
Maintain the Head Office central record.
Maintain and audit company statutory payment records.
Provide training and support on use of Connect Management Software as required.
Administration of company benefit schemes to advise on maternity, paternity, adoption, and all other forms of statutory leave entitlement and process accordingly.
Maintain all Payroll files within the filing system.
To contribute to the development of reporting designed to increase the efficiency of the Payroll Department.
Any other ad-hoc duties as required
Essential:
Experience of working within a payroll function.
Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information.
A high standard of IT proficiency and administrative skills particularly the MS Office in Excel.
Desirable:
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
Good organisational, time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines are all essential.
A confident and competent communicator able to work effectively with employees at all levels within the organisation.
A proven team player but also able to work alone as required.
Self-motivated and able to use initiative to spot opportunities to improve company systems and processes.
Be flexible to take on a variety of work and multi-task as required.
