Are you looking for a varied and exciting customer service role? No two days will be the same as will be based in Leighton Buzzard but covering for multi-sites (3 in Herts, 1 in Beds).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move from a customer facing / retail position into a Cashier position or for an existing Cashier looking to work for an Award Winning Building Society.
Salary: GBP23,000
Hours: Mon - Fri including 2 Saturday mornings a week.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role: Multi-site Branch Cashier
Reports to: Branch Manager
Location: Based at Leighton Buzzard but covering Tring, Radlett and Harpenden branches for sickness and holiday
Job purpose:
To provide all-round excellent customer service; being the first point of contact for all financial transactions and account queries and through interaction with the public; continuously develop a strong and positive brand image.
Key areas of responsibility
Customer Service:
Create a warm and welcoming environment for visitors by delivering a high level of customer service
Promote the Society s range of services
Deal promptly and efficiently with investment enquiries
Cashiering. This will include processing investment and mortgage related cash and cheque transactions, checking and making up of passbooks, using the computer system, preparation of cheques and customer credits for banking and daily post and work from the diary
Identify, support and notify Member Services as appropriate about vulnerable members
Accuracy required in cash handling and reconciliation of till
Processing and Administration:
Provide a fast and efficient processing service at all times
Act as sales and administrative support to the Branch Manager, and Branch Area Manager
General duties, including answering the telephone in a quick, efficient and polite manner, post
Account opening, with excellent attention to detail required
Adherence to operational procedures in all circumstances
Other Duties:
Attend training courses and meetings and ensure that you are familiar with any legislative changes
Operate within mandate limits and be responsible for any keys in your possession and adhere to security and confidentiality requirements
Any other duties within reason as directed by Management
