HR/People Advisor
We are currently working exclusively with a well-established client looking for a HR/People advisor to join one of their sites in the Greenford area. This is a pivotal role that requires a HR professional who is accustomed to a fast-paced environment and is used to having the autonomy to make decisions.
Job Purpose:
This position will give the right candidate the opportunity to serve a diverse customer base across all of the client s group UK sites. The focus of the role will be on providing a pro-active HR service to their operations team and providing day to day support to the wider HR team. This role requires someone positive, hard-working, flexible and who can stand up to the fast-paced nature of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage high volume ER casework, including complex disciplinary/grievance hearings
Build relationships with key stakeholders in the business
Preparing contracts of employment for signature
Support recruitment activity
HR database management
Take ownership of the absence management procedure for both short-term and long-term absence
Supporting project implementation and delivery
Provide opportunities for coaching and mentoring
Deliver training initiatives and support the PDR process
Offer advice on a variety of HR queries
Ensure legal compliance is maintained at all times
Undertake other administrative duties as required
Be a role model for the business, upholding the values of the company
Proposing new ways to work to create efficiencies and promote automation
Occasional travel to other UK sites
Skills and Experience
You will need to live commuting distance
Experience working in HR within food, manufacturing, agriculture or FMCG industry
Educated to degree level or equivalent
CIPD qualification (desirable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills
Intermediate Word, Outlook and Excel experience
Working knowledge of employment law to include working time regulations
Awareness of implications of GDPR and confidentiality of personal information
Excellent attention to detail
Able to work flexibility and collaboratively
