FryerMiles is partnering with an industry leading organisation in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire who are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to support on a permanent basis during this period of growth.
As a member of the Finance Team, you will be central to the company s ability to deliver timely and accurate financial data. As an Assistant Accountant you will be critical to managing key stakeholder relationships by being the first point of contact with suppliers and business partnering with internal departments. You will contribute by driving process change to ensure the systems and processes are always best-in-class.
Processing of financial data in a timely manner using Quickbooks and linking with internal staff for purchases and sales invoices.
Tracking bank account and balance sheet account balances.
Payment of suppliers and processing payment batches onto the bank.
Completing VAT returns.
Assisting in the development and implementation of streamlined process and controls within a growing company.
Skills and qualifications:
Strong bookkeeping experience with a working knowledge of Quickbooks.
A self-starter who takes ownership, is hands on with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in a small team.
Previous experience of helping to develop financial processes and controls.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ year s experience within a fast paced, dynamic company. Ideally coming from fast paced SME environment. QuickBooks would also be advantageous but not a prerequisite. All interviews will take place over video and hybrid office visits for the successful candidate.
