IT Systems Administrator - Security
This is a great opportunity for a confident and experienced System Administrator, looking to provide support to a secure end customer, in an interesting environment. The successful candidate will be mature in attitude, collaborative and keen on their own personal development.
This role will be based in Leicester on the secure customer site, with an on-site presence at the company premises in Syston and will offer some remote working where possible.
In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the safety and security of the company's building, assets, personnel and visitors in accordance with industry standards and legislative/contractual obligations. You will also be responsible for ongoing administration of company Staff Security profiles.
Key Responsibilities:
End-User support to specialist analysts with a mix of IT technologies.
User administration: Including setting up and managing user accounts, system access and system resource allocation.
Liaison with users, partners, and suppliers to resolve application, database, and network issues, including configuration and performance problems.
Maintaining security and reliability of the system(s) network and data, including access management, backups, certificate management and system monitoring.
Installing and configuring new or replacement hardware (e.g., servers, workstations, storage, and network equipment) and software as needed.
Have a good awareness of the cyber-security aspects of projects.
Performing and recording daily system checks.
Monitoring and reporting on system(s) performance.
Contributing to monthly system status reports.
Troubleshooting issues and outages.
Maintaining system security through access controls, firewalls, and domain policy configuration.
Upgrading systems with new firmware/software releases and models.
Maintaining network and systems documentation and IT policies as requireTechnical Experience (Not an exhaustive list)
