Is the role of Terminal Supervisor for you?
Are you an experienced Site Supervisor or have worked within a rail terminal as a supervisor?
Have you been responsible for shift supervision of main works and subcontractor staff?
Are you a great communicator, bringing together all parts of an operational team including suppliers, subcontractors, engineering and safety?
Have you had full responsibility of checking all sub-contractor documentation; certifications & insurances are in place?
Have you had experience of carry out safety inspections & audits?
Are you proactive in managing a site to minimise problems before they arise?
Do you have a CSCS Black Card, PASMA and COSHH qualifications/training?
Would you like to get involved with construction logistics for HS2?
Are you happy to work on a rotating shift basis?

What will you do as the Terminal Supervisor?
Basically you'll be responsible for coordinating all operational activities on site within the terminal which will include material handling, rail operations, ensuring HSQE requirements are met as well as being the on shift interface with other parts of the project.
The Terminal Supervisor will also have supervisory responsibility for the Rail Terminal subcontractors, weighbridge operators and traffic marshals.
You will take the lead with front line rail terminal sub-contractor supervisors from the MWCC, HS2 and the supply chain to ensure collaborative working, values alignment and common objectives are achieved to best deliver this mega project.
So who would be good at this job?
The key success criteria for the role will be someone who has worked in a supervisory role either on a major project or within a similar rail terminal or rail logistics environment.
The successful candidate will be great at bringing people together to deliver against a common goal. You ll be hot on your paperwork and will be detailed orientated making sure everything is logged and more importantly kept on top of and monitored throughout the shift. You ll be great at spotting when a situation is about to cause problems and proactively manage those scenario s.
Someone who is a great multitasker and leader keeping their finger on the pulse across health and safety, team management, delivery and performance.
A Little bit about the client
The client provides infrastructure services which in turn provides their clients with solutions that allows them to develop high performing logistics operations. They Specialise in rail, and are able to provide all or part of the Logistics operation from feasibility studies right the way through to terminal operation.
Remuneration & core information.
The salary for this position is from GBP50,000+ GBP5,000 Shift Allowance.
The successful applicant will also receive an uplift in base salary after a success 3 month probationary period.
Very generous pension scheme that can be paid to your provider of choice
3 year permanent contract
