Emerging Talent Lead (Manchester)
LHH (formerly Badeonch & Clark) are partnered with a a top 100, full-service law firm, assisting with the appointment of an Emerging Talent Lead - responsible for actively supporting the graduate recruitment activity.
This is a Manchester-based role and consists of working closely with the Training Principal, HR Director and Recruitment Manager, as well as forming effective working relationships with the many partners and colleagues in the firm. The role preferably requires 4 days in the Manchester City Centre office and one day remote (optional).
Responsibilities include:
Successfully implementing the transition from a traditional Training Contract model to a rolling SQE Graduate Apprenticeship Programme (in partnership with an external training provider).
Attracting, selecting and securing the best possible emerging talent including junior apprenticeship roles (legal and non-legal), graduate apprentices, and paralegals.
Creating and maintaining engaging emerging talent recruitment content (e.g. website information, brochures, social media posts etc.);
Representing the firm on open/fair days and proactively engaging with University's
Developing and delivering an effective vacation scheme programme to attract future talent
Supporting the effective onboarding, induction and development of emerging talent
Facilitating the ongoing development of our newly qualified solicitors (predominantly 0 - 4 years pqe).
Supporting the supervision, training and development of Trainees
Skills Required:
A minimum of 12 months experience of working effectively in a graduate recruitment role within a professional services environment
Experience of start-to-finish recruitment process - attracting, selecting, onboarding, and inducting talent professionally and effectively
Working knowledge of the graduate/apprenticeship recruitment market
CIPD Level 5 would be advantageous but not essential
Working knowledge of employment law issues and people management best practice
Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships at all levels
Strong organisational skills
