Maintenance Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Fabric engineer to join the team based around surrounding areas of Manchester, Stockport and Cheshire. The role has recently opened due to a new contract win. You will be part of a growing team and the role sits in a local team of 14 engineers. The role will be responsible for delivering of PPM's & Reactive works across a portfolio supporting large contracts with some leading UK companies. You will be required to be part of a Call out rota of 1 in 8 with a standby fee of GBP105.
This role will provide you with opportunities to upskill and earn promotions within to supervisor level and into other areas of the business. You will also be entitled to deals at various high street retailers, including Curry's, John Lewis, Tesco, Sainsburys, Boots and B&Q.
What we are looking for
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications as below
City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in relevant trade (Joinery/Carpentry/Plumbing)
Time served apprenticeship
IPAF 3A & 3B desirable
PASMA desirable
Experience
Experience in a similar position within a maintenance environment
Experience in Facilities Management industries
Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge
Basic plumbing skills are desirable but not essential.
Full, clean driving Licence

The successful candidate will be committed, reliable and have strong customer care focus. They will be punctual and flexible in their approach to work, be a good communicator across all formats and be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own. Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces. Know the relevance of tool box talks, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of work.
Salary
GBP30,000-GBP32,000 depending upon experience
