Graduate IT Support Analyst
MRK are working with a leading provider of UK professional services, based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Our client seeks a Graduate IT Support Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role will assist the IT Support team to provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to the IT manager and the clients internal software. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.
Driven by technology, this company can offer a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures in tome you'll join a diverse team, working in a relaxed software house environment. The company provides products to a range of finance, government, legal and pharmaceutical companies.
Job responsibilities:
Learn the company's products, services, systems and software in order to be able to support them. Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
Providing installation and training of the company's software to transcriptionists / operators, office staff and clients.
Answering incoming IT Support telephone calls- dealing politely and appropriately with client and transcriptionist queries and where required referring queries to the appropriate member of the DictateNow /InTouchNow team
Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications
Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients, suppliers, visitors, enquirers, transcriptionists and relevant staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the telephone or in person and to verbal or written instructions
Liaising regularly with typists / operators and clients by telephone, email, direct messenger or other form of communication
Notify a Director / your line manager immediately of any serious complaints from client e.g. where client is threatening to withdraw from the DictateNow / InTouchNow service
Escalating IT issues to the IT manager where necessary
Providing desktop and server support
Supporting queries relating to Microsoft desktop software, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Installing authorised software to laptops and desktops
Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops and kept up to date
Install Antivirus software where appropriate
Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
Ensuring all logs for equipment and users are maintained
Ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements
