A&C North West Recruitment are currently looking for a Test Engineer for our client in Heywood. The Test and commissioning engineers test machines at the Heywood site , then following the installation of machines on customers sites across the world, ensure that the machine is fully commissioned to the agreed standards. This role needs to maintain a high quality of output and is involved with the training of operators at customers sites.
Requirements of Test Engineer:
Management:
Test all machinery built at BML
Keep all relative parties updated on progress to meeting the projected strip down
Create snagging list in good time to accommodate the projected strip date
At customer site commission all BML machinery within expected time limits
Train customer delegates at a site on running of the machinery with an emphasis on health and safety
Identify any and all cost savings potential as per BU WF business plan
Development:
Identify any new mid- to long-term customer business opportunities
Ensure high quality and excellence for all customers
Role of a Test Engineer:
Willingness to travel worldwide
Time management capabilities
Willingness to learn, develop self and pass on this knowledge
Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues
Ability to interface personably with customers - ambassadorial skills
Education and Experience:
HNC / HND level qualified engineer in Electrical/electronic Engineering
Computer literate in Microsoft applications
Experience in working with PLC programming and AC and DC drive systems (desired)
Process/vacuum system experience (desired)
Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, machine controls and other mechanical systems
