We are proud to represent MKC Training, a prestigious training organisation, currently recruiting for an Electrical Lecturer within the Professional Engineer Wing at their site in Chatham, Kent, where they enjoy a long and highly successful partnership contract with the Royal School of Military Engineering, providing a wide range of training.
They have a rare opportunity for a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering to provide subject expertise within a small multidisciplinary teaching team. We are looking for industry professionals who are able to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for Engineering and have the ability to encourage and inspire young people.
Teaching relevant subject areas such as:
AC/DC theory
Design and installation of electrical building services
HV transmission & distribution systems
HV switchgear & protection
Package:
Up to GBP44K, 37 hours per week, plus excellent benefits to include 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), contributory pension scheme, private healthcare, on-site gym, cycle to work scheme and on-going professional development.
The successful candidate will be working in a positive, continuous improvement environment, for an organisation that sustains a healthy work / life balance whilst providing teaching to motivated, dedicated military students within first-class facilities. The role could include an element of flexible working or working from home.
Electrical Lecturer candidate requirements:
A teaching qualification is not essential, as support to achieve the required qualification will be provided.
Essential
First degree (or a commitment to achieve a recognised qualification) in Electrical Engineering or similar, relevant, engineering discipline.
Teaching qualification or a commitment to achieve the appropriate teaching qualification within 3 years of contract commencement
Chartered Engineer or willing to work towards professional registration in an agreed timeframe
Desirable
Demonstrable involvement in Electrical Engineering at Senior Engineer or management level.
Membership of a recognised Higher Education teaching body
Have successfully completed the Defence Instructor Techniques
