Job description
Location: Washington - Multiple Sites
Contract: Permanent contract after 12 weeks - Guaranteed
Experience: The role is open to applicants who have limited experience. Great development programme, full paid on the job training, coaching/mentoring (Including full Forklift Truck training programme).
Pay:
GBP10.00ph on early shift
GBP11.25ph on back shift.
Enhanced rate of GBP15.00ph for weekdays and Saturday overtime, GBP20.00ph on SundayShifts:
Day shift- Monday to Friday 07:00am -15:00pm
Back shift: Monday to Friday 15:00pm - 23:00pm(Please note, shift times may vary slightly depending upon site)
Hours of work: 39 hours a week working on a rotating shift system

The business area is responsible for fulfilment of warehousing and short haul transporting operations, producing and undertaking third party onsite logistics for high-profile clients. They are responsible for delivering all services and contracts in line with relevant SLAs for both customers and suppliers, as well as ensuring efficiency and best practise is applied throughout the task process and being alert to continuous streamlining and improvement.
Duties:
These exciting positions are to work within the logistics and warehousing support teams on key projects, storage, control and management for the client production lines and internal fulfilment of the client product.
Picking, Packing & Dispatch
Quality Inspection or parts and components
Reworking and light assembly of parts
Sequencing
Palletising crate assembly
Booking items on to computerised stock control systems
Palletising or decanting and loading of boxes and stillages
Operating Forklift Trucks (licence not required as full training is provided)Key Accountabilities specific to this role:
Operating equipment in loading and unloading of goods as required
Achieve targets and job standards as set out by Team Leader/Supervisor
Collation and recording necessary documentation in accordance with current requirements to ensure traceability of product
To use Warehouse Management Systems and other IT to process customer requirements
Identification and provision of relevant materials, ensuring all loads are processed and checked for accuracy against appropriate documents and system information
Support and understand key business needs and vision strategy for each project focus
Understand current task processes and relevant SLAs applied to regular services
Assisting with stock taking/remapping and other accuracy related tasks.
Operating best practice to support 5S and contributing to improvement activities
Consider and factor in feedback around current and any new processes/solutions
Provide regular progress updates to assigned Team Leader/Supervisor
Carry out tasks/functions as directed, following Standard Operating Procedures at all times
Assist and be part of continuously considering improvements to processes and procedures to enhance and streamline business activity
Maintain efficient and effective time management and planning processes
To ensure the companies Health and Safety policy is adhered toPerson Specification:
The role is open to all applicants of varying levels of experience as training and development will be provided.
Experience of operating a Forklift Truck (inhouse or otherwise) is an advantage but not essential
Ability to carry out tasks and functions as requested by Team Leaders/Supervisors
Understand the importance of working as a team to achieve productivity standards
Awareness of the importance of customer service and satisfaction
Be professional and possess a polite and positive attitude
Ability to interpret and balance a variety of feedback
Strong organisation skills and being able to work flexibly and to deadlines
Ability to communicate across all levels for both internal and external contacts in written and verbal form
