We are seeking a highly organised and motivated SQEP, SC-cleared, Systems Engineer to undertake a work package managing Government Furnished Assets and Information (under the umbrella term GFx).
Responsibilities
Analysis of the GFx data held in a central database owned and moderated by the central GF Team to understand the full picture of the current state of GFx for ICS (including risks, mitigations required and actions to minimise risk to programme.
Liaise and distribute information on monthly basis to a list of relevant stakeholders supplied by the client and provide updates back to the central GF Team.
Within CS take lead in liaising with CAMs and engineering sub systems leads to manage GFx through the defined process to delivery.
Liaise with central GF function and sub-system area leads and collaborate in finding solutions to GF supply problems, including opportunities to improve ways of working to better minimise risk to programme from the GF management process.
Where no solution can be achieved escalate issues through the client's escalation process. This activity may include support in the creation of a discriminator matrix to aid preparations prior to stocktakes and provide responses within stocktakes to resolve issues.
Support the ICS Capability manager in representing CS in all matters GFx.
Liaise with CAMs/PMs, their Planners and the ICS PMO to oversee and drive the establishment of all ICS GFA milestones within the ICS Level 4 P6 Schedules. Highlight the causes impeding progress to enable escalation and resolution.
Qualifications
HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
Skills
Good working knowledge and use of MS Office applications.
Knowledge of the Marine Defence environment is desirable
