We are working with a large manufacturing company who are based just outside Hoddesdon, to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The successful candidates will implement Manufacturing Engineering activities within the Life Cycle changes, productivity and New Products Introduction.
Duties:
To support all internal/external customers and suppliers to deliver new process introductions into manufacturing
Working on projects from the concept design, through to prototypes and into Manufacturing
Provide detailed quotations and conceptual manufacturing plans for new enquiries
Offer solutions to problems concerning design, manufacture, control procedures of new products and support Manufacturing during the early product life
Specify and develop new equipment/tooling/processes for a robust and capable process
Ensure that all new products and processes meet the safety, quality, and cost requirements
Report on progress and make recommendations at all levels of the manufacturing team
To improve current manufacturing processes
To keep ERP system updated with production routings
To be considered for this exciting Manufacturing Engineer role, you will need the following experience:
NPI in an automotive manufacturing and production environment would be advantageous
Design for Manufacture
Process Flowcharts and Process FMEA
Plastic injection moulding and automation experience
Knowledge of plastic joining technologies, including plastic welding and overmoulding.
Experience of assembly and testing equipment
Able to use 2D CAD to create production layouts
