Based at Welwyn Garden City HQ, the Estates and Facilities team are responsible for ensuring the Constabulary's buildings are compliant and fit for purpose and services provide value for money in addition to providing professional advice and support to the police and crime commissioner on estate matters.
Role: Estates Services Apprentice
Location: Welwyn Garden City Police Headquarters (once on board will also be enrolled onto a local College course, paid by the Constabulary so college attendance will also be required)
Rate: GBP32673 per annum
Contract length: Permanent
Shift Patterns: Mon- Fri, 37 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Supporting in the management of Mechanical and Electrical projects and works
Assisting in ensuring that Health and Safety legislation and Business requirements are met
Assisting in ensuring the requirements of contracts in relation to Mechanical and Engineering are met
Providing engineering advice on property management and energy management throughout the Constabulary
Providing general office support to operational management Essential requirements:
X 3 A Levels graded A - C OR level 3 Apprenticeship qualification within Building Services
Willingness to start a career and progress within the role
Strong verbal and communication skills
Knowledge on Building services and Estates within any environment
Dedication to complete College course and gain further qualificationsDesirable requirements:
Driving licence and use of a car
Knowledge of The Police and how their facilities department operatesBenefits:
