Event Planner
the role.
Are you a professional Events Planner with an eye for detail and the love of a good events calendar? We are looking for someone to take on this busy and vital role until December 2023.
You will form part of a larger Marketing and Communications team, but the busy events diary is all yours. This global company run a very busy events schedule which includes everything from large industry specific events to smaller invitation only events and even the odd trip abroad with selected clients.
If you have new ideas to bring to the table, this is always welcomed in this progressive company. You will join a busy, fun and proactive team and be given all the support you need to be successful. With impressive offices in Cambridge, you will have a base there, but most people here work remotely. Due to the nature of the role, you will have some overnight stays away from home up to around 20 per year maximum.
You will hold relationships with lots of internal people as well as close relationships within your team and the sales teams. Although this is a contract role, there are still lots of opportunities in this large company.

You must have experience within an events position, you may have managed lots of events throughout the year, or just managed one large event that is the yearly goal. Whatever your events background, you will need to be meticulous in your planning, detail and organisation as well as being task focussed. You will be able to manage and resolve issues professionally, sometimes in stressful situations. Drive, determination, and willingness are key as is a good sense of humour! You must live within 1 hour commute of Cambridge and have your own car.
