This Warehouse Team Leader position involves ensuring the smooth daily running of the operation and maintaining suitable connections between other parts of the Parcelhub Distribution operation.

You may also be required to deputise for the site Operations Manager when they are not available.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Team Leader:

Leading by example
Briefing and debriefing of drivers
Printing and supply of run sheets, with resultant planning and communication of suitable working hours for drivers
Route and hours planning to cover additional requirements
Maintaining consumable supplies in consultation with Whistl and distributing in-line with customer requirement
Compilation and emailing of evening report
Assessing driver run sheets to identify timing and location problems, and liaising with Transport to resolve faults
Investigating, reporting, and resolving quality issues with driver performance
Checking fleet for damage and taking appropriate action to resolve vehicle defects
Ensuring fleet remains clean, presentable, and safe
Locking up and ensuring overnight security of the warehouse
Staff supervision including appraisal and assessment
Maintenance and communication of evening cover rota
Ensuring that all staff, visitors, and contractors follow Health & Safety protocols
Ensuring revenue protection and compliance with MICOP regulation to maintain security of mail
Undertaking collection rounds during periods of holiday and sickness cover (approx. 100 shifts)
Maintaining a proactive attitude to staff, customers, and the wider Whistl Group
