Staff Assist are recruiting for a Production Manager for a organic food distribution company in greenford.
As a Production Manager you will working directly with the Operations Manager. You will be part of a team of two Production Managers, and you will be responsible for overseeing a workforce of 25+ employees in the production and chiller departments. Ensuring that the procedures and processes are followed to ensure the production department operates at peak efficiency.
Production Manager Salary Compensation: Pension Scheme • Holidays (25 + Bank Holidays
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday 2pm to 11pm
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the daily production of fruit and vegetable packing and ensuring the department follows the required technical requirements
Overseeing the daily packing, picking and despatch of goods
Execute the production plan within the defined timescale and to the required quality standards
Train, mentor and develop your team
Manage the rota/ holidays and team briefing s
Ensure Health and Safety policies are being followed • Ensure compliance with required food hygiene standards and practices
Accurately complete and maintain all required paper work • Conduct performance reviews, and investigations / disciplinary hearings where necessary
Implement a training plan for the team to encourage cross training of staff • Coordinating planning and executing of new product launches
Driving production efficiency to help control costs
Person Specification:
Previous Production experience of 3-5 years
Good understanding of food production systems and business productivity Understanding of reporting figures and HR practices
Quick decision making and problem-solving skills 5S and Lean experience - required • BRC Knowledge - required
