We're looking for an experienced administrator with previous experience of managing supplier relationships and processing purchase orders to join our manufacturing client based in Kettering.

Working within the Supply Chain department, you'll be responsible for all direct purchase orders in line with material requirements, as well as working towards supplier lead times, agreed target stock levels and managing the day to day performance of the supplier.

This is a temporary assignment for around 2-3 months with potential to extend. Due to business requirements, applicants must be immediately available.

Duties and responsibilities:

Placing purchase orders
Liaising and communicating with suppliers
Working closely with other department including the warehouse for updates
Tracking purchase orders and updating suppliers with delivery times and / or any delays
Carrying out administration of the database and ensuring records are updated
Monitoring stock levels
Planning and prioritising daily operations to ensure that KPIs are met and reporting on these

Skills and experience required:

Previous experience in an administrative role involving placing purchase orders
Able to communicate in a friendly, professional and effective way (both written & verbal)
Experience of liaising with suppliers and managing those relationships
Stakeholder management experience would be an advantage
Confident with daily decision making
Takes a proactive approach to problem solving and identifying a speedy resolution
Ability to multitask and work at pace
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail as well as strong organisational and planning skills
IT proficient, and able to use Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and databases
Can interpret and explain data confidently and clearly

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm
Hybrid working

Salary and benefits:

GBP10.50 per hour
