Location: Kidderminster
Hours: Mon - Thu 8am - 5pm Fri 8am - 12:30pm (possibly rotating shifts)
Pay: GBP9.75 per hour
Contract: Permanent
A local manufacturer in Kidderminster are looking for a Trainee Laser operator to work in their team on a permanent basis. A very rewarding workplace with the ability to progress and learn all kinds of other manufacturing processes.
The duties of a Trainee Laser Operator:
- Loading steel into the tower loader
- Booking jobs off that have been cut via the tablets provided
- Working alongside colleagues and supervisors
- Cutting all types of materials Stainless, Brass, Mild Steel, Aluminium
- Ensuring the scrap box is emptied daily and cleaning the lens protectors daily
The requirements of a Trainee Laser Operator:
- Having the versatility to change up from the schedule to cut urgent jobs when needed
- Ability to identify different types and grades of steel desirable
- Good attitude to work and pride in your job
- Ability to check a first off using verniers, rules and tape measures
The role of a Trainee Laser Operator is working on a Permanent basis, assisting within the warehouse.
