We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef for a 5 star Campsite near Brixham. You will be part of the Food & Beverage team responsible for preparing fresh local produce and British classics for our guests. The restaurant offers both sit in and takeaway service so we require a Sous Chef looking for a permanent position to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Be responsible for food prep and maintaining the high standards expected
Budgeting and stock ordering to reflect the time of year and expected demand
Ensure all deliveries are checked in correctly.
Regularly monitor stock items and waste and communicate any shortages.
Practice economy and minimise incorrect usage / waste where possible.
Manage the team and support with service wherever required
Keep food service running efficiently during busy periods
Quality control
Ensuring high standards of hygiene within the kitchen The Individual:

Health & Safety and Food Hygiene certificates
Previous Sous Chef experience within a busy bar/restaurant
Excellent communication skills
A good motivational leader
A forward-thinking problem solver The role is based on a 45 hour week over 5 days (with days off during the week) for peak season or around 6 months of the year then hours will be greatly reduced over the winter period. A UK driving licence is essential as the public transport which runs past the park ends around 7.30pm.
