Field Based UK Wide
Salary Circa GBP45,000 plus Company Car

Our market-leading Client is looking to appoint a Breeder Area Manager on a full time, permanent basis. You will oversee see breeder and rearing farms across the UK and will ensure optimum quality, consistency and best practices in all Animal Welfare, Health and Safety and bio-security standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

Management of stock across UK Breeder sites for optimal performance whilst reaching the highest Welfare standards.

Management of employees across farms, including staffing levels, scheduling, communication of company information, issue resolution.

Deal with day to day catching/farm issues that may arise such and conducting necessary investigations including communicating with contractors and documenting and communicating actions and recommendations.

Ensure all sites maintain and are kept at poultry Compliance standard level at all time - keep up to date with changes to Compliance requirements, facilitate audits and respond to outcomes from audits.

Report and maintain key communication with the management team on all issues that arise on your farm and site visits, as part of the company Senior Management team.

Complete farm and catching reports that identify key actions that need addressing.

Assist, support and guide farm managers and visitor/contractors to ensure that bio security and welfare standards are maintained to the highest standards.

Communicate effectively with teams to ensure continuity and clarity in all planning actions.

Be mobile and react quickly to problems and ensure that professional standards are maintained.

Present a positive and customer focused approach to the business.

Plan. manage and assist with all elements of restocking and depletion of sites to ensure that teams are maintaining timings and loading schedules.

Impose high standards of health and safety with your assigned teams and action any health and safety breaches effectively and quickly.

Maintain a good level of knowledge and training on health and safety, animal welfare and bio security principles and policies and undertake training as and when required.

Have a sound understanding of the policies and procedures implemented by the company for all areas of the business.

Ability to commute to Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Northumbria and the Scottish Borders is essential for this role.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Breeder Area Manager will be able to demonstrate 5 years' breeder management experience and 4 years poultry management experience in addition to the following;

Must have a high level of initiative and be a self starter.

Must have strong analytical skills.

Able to evaluate employees fairly and objectively: strong human resources skills.

Must be highly goal and results oriented. Have the ability to effectively execute tasks, and exercise sound judgment and critical thinking in changing and demanding work environment.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to work in both individual and team work settings with minimum supervision.

Must have good organisational skills.

Must have good computer skills including knowledge of Word and Excel Programs.
